This Mahal antique rug measures 7' 6" x 11' 4" and presents a softened, timeworn field of muted rust, taupe, ash grey, and ivory. The allover floral composition is now beautifully quiet, with palmette and vine traces emerging through layers of wear and fading. A restrained border remains visible at the edge, framing the composition without overpowering it. Woven in wool, it carries the atmosphere of an antique rug shaped by heavy use and long light exposure. Circa 1900 - 1915. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
