This Caucasian antique rug measures 3' 8" x 5' 0" and presents a layered geometric composition with three aligned diamond medallions set against a deep navy field. The border system is especially active, combining repeating angular motifs in red, ivory, gold, and blue with a vivid outer frame that reinforces the rug’s architectural balance. Wool lends the surface a tactile, lived-in handle, while the visible wear softens the palette and leaves the drawing atmospheric.
