This Mahal antique rug measures 9' 8" x 13' 8" and carries the softened elegance of long use. An allover floral field unfolds in scrolling vines, palmettes, and arabesques, framed by a restrained border that still holds the composition together. The palette is gently faded, with wash blue, teal, rust red, sage, and ivory layered over a timeworn ground, giving the piece a calm, weathered depth. Circa 1915 - 1930, it reads as lived-in and nuanced, with medium distress that enhances its faded character rather than obscuring it.
