This Mahal antique rug measures 8' 7" x 12' 4" and presents an allover floral field softened by time. The composition layers blossoms, vines, and small medallion forms within a narrow border of repeating floral motifs, while the faded charcoal ground lifts warm coral, cream, white, and muted teal accents. The worn surface adds a quiet, lived-in depth, with areas of abrasion that blur the drawing in a graceful way. Circa 1900 - 1920, it carries the restrained rhythm and colour balance associated with the Mahal tradition, offering a tactile, heritage-rich presence.
