This Mahal antique rug measures 10' 7" x 18' 1" and presents a layered field of faded floral ornament framed by a dense border of repeated blossoms and geometric details. Wool lends the surface a soft, timeworn hand, while the palette of cream, brown, and muted colour notes is lifted by traces of teal and terracotta. The central medallion structure remains visible beneath the patina, giving the composition depth without losing its calm, worn character. Circa 1920 - 1940, it carries the grounded elegance and visual texture that define a well-aged Mahal.
