This Caucasian antique rug measures 3' 0" x 5' 4" and presents a richly layered field of boteh-like forms set against a deep navy ground. Coral red borders, ivory framing bands, and flashes of blue and green give the composition a crisp, graphic rhythm, while the surface shows gentle wear and softened colour from age. The stepped lower motif adds structure within the otherwise rhythmic repeat.
