This Mahal antique rug measures 8' 0" x 11' 9" and carries the grounded character of a well-lived floor textile. An all-over floral lattice unfolds across a rust red field, with muted blue, cream, and brown accents that still read clearly beneath the softened finish. The dark border adds contrast and depth, while the inner guards help hold the composition in place. Visible wear, fading, and scattered abrasions lend the surface a washed, timeworn presence. Circa 1925 - 1945, it reflects the graceful restraint and layered colour of a classic Mahal.
