This Mahal antique rug measures 8' 5" x 12' 3" and presents a richly faded field of blue, coral, cream, and neutral tones. The allover floral composition is framed by an ornate border with repeating rosettes and geometric accents, while the central area reads with softened medallion influence and layered vine work. Woven in wool, it carries a lived-in surface with medium distress and luminous wear that mutes the design in a graceful way. Circa 1900 - 1920, it reflects the patina and visual depth that define a well-aged Mahal.
