This Baluch antique rug measures 3' 10" x 11' 3" and carries the restrained intensity so often found in Baluch weaving. A dark ground sets off repeating geometric blossoms, small cruciform motifs, and a closely framed border structure in rust, ivory, brown, and black. The composition feels orderly yet handmade, with subtle tonal shifts that lend depth to the field. Low distress is visible in the softened edges and worn fringe, which contribute to its character without interrupting the pattern. Circa 1900 - 1920, it presents a grounded, textural presence with graphic clarity.
