This Dorokhsh antique rug measures 9' 8" x 12' 7" and carries a softly worn, timeworn presence in wool. The all-over scrolling floral pattern is rendered in layered browns, taupe, beige, and faded rose, with a more structured border that still reads clearly against the faded field. Circa 1920 - 1935, it shows medium distress, with visible abrash-like shifts, gentle wear, and a mellowed surface that gives the composition an atmospheric depth. The result is an elegant, grounded rug with quiet ornament and a well-aged hand. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
