This Mahal antique rug measures 6' 6" x 10' 2" and presents a softly worn field in layered blue, brown, cream, and ivory. A tall central medallion anchors the composition, while allover floral and geometric motifs are framed by multiple borders that retain fine linear detail. The surface shows medium distress, with faded areas and a settled patina that soften the pattern without losing its structure. Circa 1900 - 1915, it carries the balanced formality and weathered character often associated with Mahal weaving, rendered here in a palette of restrained warmth and depth.
