This Caucasian antique rug measures 3' 0" x 4' 10" and presents a finely layered field of small geometric medallions in brown, cream, blue, and muted red. Starburst borders and diagonal guard bands create a crisp architectural frame around the central composition, while the softened palette gives the piece a calm, timeworn presence. Circa 1880 - 1900, it shows low distress with visible fringe wear, slight edge irregularity, and areas of gentle fading that enhance its tactile character. The dense ornament feels both orderly and lively, with the antique rug’s original patterning still clearly legible.
