This Yazd antique rug, 9' 11" x 14' 5", carries a softly weathered field where faded blue, ivory, charcoal, and muted red settle into a calm, layered composition. The all-over floral pattern is framed by a narrow, scrolling border and multiple guard bands, giving the piece a refined structure beneath its relaxed surface. Areas of abrasion and visible fading lend it a lived-in clarity, with the design emerging and receding across the ground. Circa 1915 - 1945, it reflects the balance of ornament and restraint associated with Yazd weaving. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
