This Mahal antique rug measures 14' 3" x 19' 8" and presents an expansive, time-softened field of floral and geometric motifs. A restrained border frames the composition, while the palette of cream, ivory, taupe, brown, and muted rust reads with quiet depth. The allover pattern has faded into a layered, atmospheric surface, giving the piece a calm, lived-in character. High distress is visible throughout, with broad areas of wear that soften the design rather than erase it. Circa 1910 - 1930. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
