This Mahal antique rug measures 10' 8" x 14' 5" and carries a quietly faded presence, with an allover floral field softened by age into a wash of ivory, taupe, muted teal, and rust. The composition reads as layered and classical, with a restrained border enclosing a worn medallion-like centre and delicate repeating details along the perimeter. High distress has blurred the pattern into a painterly surface, leaving visible wear, softened edges, and an evocative, lived-in character. Circa 1900 - 1925. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
