This Mahal antique rug measures 12' 8" x 15' 3" and presents a washed, layered field of floral and vine motifs softened by decades of wear. The composition feels open yet richly detailed, with narrow borders framing a quietly faded interior in ivory, cream, beige, and muted grey. Areas of high distress have blurred the pattern into a near-tonal surface, while traces of the original ornament still surface across the field and edges. Circa 1900 - 1915, it carries the hushed character and patina that define a well-aged Mahal. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
