This Mahal antique rug measures 8' 10" x 11' 4" and carries the faded elegance that defines its age. An allover floral field emerges through a layered wash of cream, taupe, brown, and muted rust, while the border remains just visible in a quieter rose and sand tonality. The pattern has softened beautifully, leaving a ghosted medallion feel at the centre and a textured, lived-in surface throughout. Circa 1880 - 1910, it reads as atmospheric and restrained, with high distress that adds depth rather than interruption. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
