This Mallayer antique rug measures 5' 4" x 8' 5" and presents a softly worn, open composition framed by a finely worked geometric border. The field settles into muted ivory and taupe, with faded teal and blue drifting across the centre, while warm brown accents hold the structure in place. The pointed inner shape and scattered floral-geometric details give the design a quiet architectural presence. Circa 1900 - 1930, the surface shows medium wear, with age-softened contrast and visible abrasion that deepen its layered, collected character.
