This Mahal antique rug measures 10' 5" x 14' 5", with a pale field that has mellowed into ivory, cream, and muted taupe, touched by faded rust and soft sage at the border. The drawing is intentionally subdued, yet the floral framework and restrained medallion remain visible beneath the wear. Circa 1900 - 1920, it carries the quiet depth and softened contrast that come with age, allowing the composition to read as both atmospheric and grounded.
