This Mahal antique rug measures 10' 2" x 13' 11" and is rendered in a quiet palette of ivory, cream, warm grey, taupe, and charcoal. The field carries an all-over composition of floral and geometric ornament, now softened by age into a layered, almost painterly surface. Multiple borders, including a sawtooth outer frame, hold the design with balance while the high distress lends depth and atmosphere.
