This Mallayer antique rug measures 6' 6" x 9' 2" and carries a timeworn, layered palette of faded teal, rust, taupe, sand, ivory, and muted brown. Its allover floral field is organized within a restrained border system, giving the composition a quiet rhythm even as the design has softened with age. The surface shows extensive abrasion and worn open areas that lend it a washed, textural presence.
