A restrained Tabriz in a whisper of neutral, white and cream, woven in wool and refined by time. The 11' 3" x 14' 3" field is an allover floral lattice of rosettes and scrolling vines, bounded by narrow frames that read like a softened drawing. Low-contrast outlines and areas of even abrash give the surface a tactile, matte sheen; medium distress has smoothed the pile and revealed subtle colour shifts. This antique rug balances a classic composition with an understated, timeworn presence that emphasises pattern over ornament. Circa 1900 - 1920.
