A refined Kashan rendered in wool with a clear ivory field and a richly worked navy border, this antique rug balances a pronounced red central medallion with an airy floral vine. Fine palmettes, scrolling leaves, and corner spandrels are drawn with an assured hand, the colours (blue, green and warm red) remaining vivid against the neutral ground. Surface wear is minimal and the pile sits evenly, giving the composition a tactile clarity. Measurements are 8' 9" x 11' 8".
