This Kashan antique rug measures 4' 1" x 6' 9" and presents a richly layered field of floral ornament anchored by a formal central medallion. Coral red, deep indigo, dusty blue, celadon, and ivory tones mingle across the composition, creating a vivid yet time-softened surface. The borders frame the design with palmettes, blossoms, and scrolling motifs that echo the central field. Circa 1910 - 1930, the rug carries visible wear that lends depth to the wool pile and softens the contrasts without diminishing its clarity. Its balance of structure and movement gives the piece a grounded, collected presence.
