An elongated Bashir in wool, this antique rug reads as a study in restrained geometry and patient patina. A diagonal lozenge lattice repeats across a neutral field, each compartment holding a small rosette; narrow guard borders frame the composition with linked geometric motifs. The palette is quiet , cream and white highlights over warm brown outlines , softened by even fading and fine abrash. Surface wear is medium, with visible patched repairs that attest to long use and tactile age. Circa 1900 - 1915. Measurements: 12' 5" x 23' 1".
