A large Tabriz woven in wool with an aged, quiet presence. The 14' 5" x 18' 2" field carries a softened central medallion and a network of floral arabesques rendered in neutral and brown tones with traces of faded blue. Multiple floral guard borders frame the design, their contrast mellowed by time. Surface wear and even abrash give the piece a layered, tactile patina; the level of distress remains medium. This antique rug reads as a thoughtful, restrained example of classical Tabriz weaving, the palette and wear offering a calm, heritage-aware aesthetic. Circa 1920 - 1940
