A softly luminous Chinese Hook woven in wool, this antique rug reads as a study in restrained colour and painterly floral work. The pale blue-grey ground frames a cream oval medallion filled with layered bouquets, echoed by corner arrangements and a faint garland. The surface shows medium wear and gentle abrash that mellow the palette into warm brown and muted rose highlights.
