An elegant Semnan in wool, this antique rug measures 9' 10" x 13' 6" and carries a quietly worn, museum-aware presence. The dense all-over floral lattice is composed of small rosettes and palmettes that read as a repeating medallion rhythm, framed by narrow guard stripes and a broader botanical main border. Warm faded red ground layers with neutral beige and brown highlights and restrained navy and olive accents, yielding a soft, tactile colour. Condition is low distress with an even surface patina that reveals long use without overt damage. Circa 1900 - 1915.
