A large Tabriz woven in wool, held to a muted, neutral palette of cream, beige and soft grey with faint rose notes. At 12' 7" x 17' 2" the composition centers on a scalloped medallion that subtly dissolves into a fine repeating floral lattice; the wide palmette border reads in warmer tan tones. High distress has softened motifs, introduced honest abrash and worn the pile to a tactile, low-relief surface. This antique rug carries a quiet, layered presence that rewards close attention. Circa 1900 - 1915. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
