An expansive Kerman in soft cream and ivory, this 14' 0" x 20' 0" wool field shows a delicate, allover floral lattice that has gently faded to whisper-tones. The deep blue border remains as a framing counterpoint, its motifs worn to a powdery navy and slate. High distress and even abrash create a patina of use that reads like lived history. There is a quiet central focus suggested by the patterning rather than a bold medallion. This antique rug carries the tactile warmth of hand wool and the restraint of a muted palette.
