An elegant Tehran panelled composition in wool, rendered in a restrained red and neutral palette and articulated as a patchwork of floral panels and tree medallions. The 8' 6" x 11' 5" format reveals a central medallion column flanked by palmettes, scrolling vines and miniature floral sprays, each panel set within a narrow cartouche. Low, even wear preserves a soft, tactile pile and gentle abrash that lends the surface a quiet depth. This antique rug reads as archival and artisanal, its layered colours and balanced composition reflecting Tehran workshop refinement. Circa 1900 - 1915.
