A silk Kysari with a central medallion set within a scalloped field, layered with compact floral vines and elongated palmettes. The field’s worn red ground and soft neutral highlights reveal silk luster in places, the border carrying muted cream and white motifs against a darker ground. Medium distress and gentle abrash lend an artisanal, lived-in surface that reads like a faded fresco. This is an antique rug with refined patina and tactile warmth. Circa 1880 - 1900. Measures 4' 6" x 6' 6", a compact, design-forward example of Kysari weaving in silk.
