A Tabriz Senehbaft in wool, 9' 2" x 12' 1", defined by an all-over repeating floral-lattice of small medallions and palmettes. The neutral and brown palette sits on a warm cream ground, the motifs rendered in dark brown for restrained contrast. Wear has softened the surface and introduced even fading that reads as patina rather than damage. The interplay of dense pattern and aged tone gives the piece a tactile, almost textile-like quietness. This is an antique rug with measured presence and craft in the weave. Circa 1915 - 1930
