An elongated Sarab in wool, this antique rug measures 7' 0" x 12' 6" and presents a disciplined, geometric composition. Three large lozenge medallions run the field, each set against a pale diaper ground and framed by narrow, richly colored guard borders. The palette balances warm brown and cream with rust-red and navy accents, enlivening a subdued, neutral field. Low abrasions and an even patina lend a soft, tactile surface while motif clarity remains. Circa 1885 - 1900.
