This Sarab antique rug measures 6' 5" x 12' 10", and its long, narrow format is filled with an allover field of small boteh-like motifs softened by time. The brown ground is broken by generous cream and ivory abrasion, giving the composition a weathered, almost textile-like depth. A restrained floral border and worn guard bands frame the piece with clarity despite pronounced distress.
