This Tabriz presents a quietly weathered field of cream and pale sage punctuated by soft terracotta medallions and rosettes. The allover composition reads as an intricate lattice of small palmettes, contained by a broad rust guard border with repeating cartouches and floral guards. Knotted in wool, the surface shows medium distress and a gentle abrash that reveals layered color and handworked patina. It is tactile and restrained, a considered antique rug that feels aged rather than recent. Circa 1925 - 1940. Exact size: 10' 0" x 13' 0". The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
