An elongated Sarab in warm cream and brown, this antique rug reads as restrained and architectural. A central lozenge medallion, set on a stepped ivory field, is punctuated by dark outlines and restrained colour accents. A narrow floral border frames the composition while the wool pile remains soft and evenly worn. Subtle abrash and low overall distress lend a tactile, timeworn patina across its 7' 5" x 15' 2" span. Circa 1900 - 1920, this Sarab balances heritage motifs with measured proportion and quiet material presence. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
