A narrow Greek-key inner border frames the rhythmic field, while a broader cloud-scroll outer border in navy and cream contains the composition. Low distress preserves a soft, tactile pile and restrained abrash that reads like patina across the surface. The wool retains a slightly lustrous hand and the patterning remains clear despite gentle age. This antique rug balances formal geometry with hand-worn colour and material presence.
