A Sarab in wool, 4' 10" x 9' 9", defined by a dense allover boteh-lattice and a narrow band of geometric medallions framing the field. The palette reads as muted red and terracotta warmed by neutral brown grounds and hints of faded blue in the borders. Low distress allows the pattern to remain clear while a soft abrash and mellow nap lend a tactile, timeworn surface. The piece reads as an antique rug with a calm, aged presence; the restrained palette and careful wear suggest an early twentieth-century weaving. Circa 1900 - 1915.
