Measuring 5' 10" x 11' 0", this Khotan presents a restrained pomegranate lattice worked in warm red-orange across a soft cream field, the wool gently mellowed by time. Layered borders, geometric guards and floral bands in warm brown and neutral tones, frame the field with quiet rhythm. Visible abrash and medium wear have softened the surface into a silken patina; edges show characterful short fraying. Circa 1905 - 1935. This antique rug speaks to an understated craft: a tactile, design-forward weave where colour, wear and pattern create a quietly composed object with evident history.
