This Khotan antique rug measures 8' 6" x 15' 9" and presents a restrained, lyrical field in pale blue-grey, coral red, cream, and softened gold. Two large diamond medallions anchor the composition, while floral sprays and small repeating blossoms drift across the ground with an airy rhythm. Multiple borders, including a lively floral inner frame and narrow guard bands, give the piece structure without interrupting its quiet balance. The surface shows low distress and a graceful, time-softened finish that suits its age. Circa 1900 - 1935. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
