A whisper-soft Khotan that reads like a study in patina. This antique rug presents a broad, pale central field framed by layered narrow borders and a faint floral reserve at one end. Wooly cream and brown notes emerge through extensive fading and high wear, producing a tactile, time-worn surface where original motifs remain legible as soft gestures. The composition is restrained, the borders providing architectural cadence while the field lives in quiet restraint. Circa 1900 - 1920. Dimensions: 7' 10" x 15' 9".
