A quietly worn Tabriz in wool, the 8' 9" x 11' 9" scale reads as a studied, old-world composition. The faded red field carries an allover floral lattice of palmettes and boteh-like leaves, softened by years of use into warm beige and brown notes with pale blue accents. A wide border of repeating cartouches and rosettes frames the field, the pattern made more porous by consistent abrash and medium surface wear. The tactile wool pile retains a muted sheen and a sense of hand; the overall impression is one of age and restraint. This antique rug feels heritage-rich and quietly composed. Circa 1900 - 1920
