This Bakhtiari carries a large, radiating medallion set against a softly faded neutral field; layered brown and warm red tones give the pattern a tactile depth. Floral arabesques and corner spandrels unfold from the centre while multi-band floral borders remain legible despite honest surface wear. The wool exhibits a gentle sheen and muted abrash that reads as lived-in patina. An antique rug with considered presence, its medallion and border motifs remain the primary visual focus. Measured at 13' 0" x 21' 0". Circa 1890 - 1910. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
