This Bakhtiari antique rug measures 14' 5" x 21' 3" and presents a garden-inspired field of repeated arched compartments, each holding slender trees and floral sprays. A dark lattice-like framework gives the composition structure, while the borders introduce smaller geometric and floral details in softened rose, olive, camel, and charcoal tones. The wool surface shows medium wear, with visible fading and an aged, luminous patina that settles the pattern. Circa 1925 - 1945, it carries the balance of ornament and restraint that makes Bakhtiari weaving feel both architectural and pastoral.
