A luminous Chinese wool rug with a deep green field punctuated by scattered floral sprays, stylised vases and ritual objects, framed by a broad burgundy floral border and narrow guard stripes. The pile shows low distress, a soft satin luster and subtle abrash where the field catches light; a faint central fold line hints at historic handling. This antique rug measures 10' 8" x 18' 0" and preserves clear motif work and layered colour, the cream and white highlights balanced by warm pinks and yellow accents. Circa 1915 - 1930.
