This Kysari presents a silk field arranged in a strict grid of rectangular panels, each housing a carved medallion motif in warm reds and neutral tones. The 5' 10" x 8' 0" scale reads intimate and finely detailed, the silk giving a subtle sheen to floral and lozenge forms. Low overall wear and a restrained, even patina preserve the clarity of border chains and interior ornament. There is an antique rug presence here that feels tactile and composed, a study in colour shift and hand-drawn geometry. Circa 1905 - 1925.
