A Tabriz woven in wool, this compact antique rug reads as quietly modern thanks to a muted, neutral palette of ivory, warm beige and soft terracotta. A pronounced central medallion anchors layered foliate arabesques and small animal motifs, while multiple guard borders frame the composition. Signs of medium distress and even abrash lend a soft patina, where outlines have softened and high areas show modest wear. The piece measures 4' 4" x 6' 0" and retains an intimate, textured presence. Circa 1905 - 1925. The softened surface retains a quiet, tactile character shaped by time.
