A softly worn Oushak Angora in wool, 4' 0" x 6' 10", where a serene cream ground meets articulated rust-red floral forms. Large-scale sprays and scrolling vines define a shallow central field and a narrow inner frame; the red reads both saturated and gently washed back. Medium distress has softened the pile and introduced abrash and light staining that read as layered patina. The surface is velvety and tactile, the motifs breathing within generous negative space. This antique rug carries a quiet, design-literate presence, rooted in traditional Oushak vocabulary. Circa 1915 - 1930
