This Kysari is a silk example defined by a deep blue central medallion set into warm neutral fields and brown accents. At 4' 0" x 5' 3", the composition reads as a carefully balanced study in floral palmettes and scrolling vine, the borders offering a layered, arabesque frame. The silk pile retains a soft sheen and a finely worn patina; abrash is restrained and the overall distress level is low. The surface feels tactile, the motifs still clear through time. An antique rug that reads as lived-in elegance and careful craft. Circa 1900 - 1920
